KK Photography Awarded "First Outstanding Business" by the Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce. Kathy Kohl, owner and operator at KK Photography in Wind Lake, Wisconsin is the proud recipient of the Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Award. KK Photography has proven how a business can survive as well as prosper, in this down economy. Kohl's continued strive for excellence in her business is a shining example for the rest of us to follow. The "Outstanding Business Award" not only recognizes exceptional business growth but commitment to strengthening the Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce, fellow Chamber members, businesses, business opportunities within the Wind Lake area and/or to serving the citizens of the Wind Lake area. The Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce represents all types of businesses and organizations located in or around the Wind Lake area in Racine County. More than 80 percent of the Chamber's members are considered small businesses, i.e. less than 5 employees. KK Photography is one of these small businesses that provide a place for both high school and college students to perform internships in photography and marketing. Kohl is the Vice President and head of the Membership Committee for the Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce. Kohl specializes in providing a very personal touch to all her clients whether it is a wedding shoot, senior photo sitting, sports team photographs, sittings for family photos or baby pictures. Kohl is the photographer for the Norway youth baseball and the Norway flag football leagues. Proceeds from the sale of 4x6 photos taken by KK Photography at the Wind Lake Street Fair are donated to St Vincent DePaul Charity. Kohl started her photography business with a studio right in her home. She has recently relocated to the new EMS Building in Wind Lake which provides an office along with two photography studios.
